Hello. I am trying to install an OS to a Pi 4B (1gb ram). I started with the official guide and used the RPi-Imager. I also pre-configured the SSID and enabled ssh to simplify things after.
Once powered on it boots seemingly normal, act intermittent quick flashes, however it then seemingly reboots (red/power light goes out) and then the Act light blinks 9 or 10 times, a possible HALT mode. This happens every time the pi is powered on, on both, I later learned this happens with Raspbian Lite 64bit and Raspbian Lite Legacy
I've alternated between sdcards, a 32gb sandisk and a 64gb sony. They both give the same result.

Has the pi got an adequate power supply? Do you see anything on a display?

I would love to know if there's any alternate displays. Cause I know the USB C can't output video

Usb-c can do video dependant on the graphics card. Rpi doesn’t have a usb-c out though.

How about your power supply? Is this a new pi or have you successfully used it before?
eternalliving
Do you have an extra sd card to try a different distro?

Also, I am now using a 5v 3a power supply

So now that I've visual. (I enabled TVout on config.txt) _While booting_ it has an output, it seems to reboot twice. Past the first reboot, there is no video out.
I'll try to record a video.

Seem like it reboots around

Good News. I swtiched from RPi-Imager to Balena Etcher and it booted without a problem. Raspian Lite Legacy is at the login screen.

I guess this is solved?
eternalliving
Awesome, glad you were able to keep at it and find a solution!!

I’m not really sure how the threads are being marked as solved, I think it’s a new idea with the threads and hopefully they can make them ‘solved’able….

Hopefully when someone opens they'll see it 😛
The problem was that my SSID does have a quote character and that kept breaking the firstrun.sh file. \' might've been able to solve it but, I ended up realizing that after using etcher and reaching the login
