I will probably ask more questions on this project, but For now I just want to make sure I don't either 1: Fry the batteries or 2: fry the pi. Bonus points if its relatively compact. Even more bonus points if it's super safe and easy.

1. Battery. With correct protection circuits and a properly chosen battery = No fry.
2. See 1.

I have done 7 Laptop builds and I am currently building the next one, feel free to ask me in DM. I can help you getting everything to work!!! <@353402588072247297>

There is a battery board which I can recommend
techdaniel
You can buy it with a 37whr battery which has enough power to let your Pi Laptop run
vaniaomega
And it works with pi 3 b+?
techdaniel
It works even with your phone
techdaniel
It’s just a battery board with a battery you can attach
You can connect via an serial to usb adapter the board with your pc and you can modify the board so you can get faster charging speeds or a different current
techdaniel
I am currently running at 30w out

Now i'm starting to think
vaniaomega
Would any Power bank work as long as it has the proper voltage?
vaniaomega
I found one that is 2.4 amps (5 volts)
vaniaomega
Would that work?

I also know that there is a thing called a pisugar but Because it has to be stacked it would be too thick for my current shell and I would have to rework it which would be difficult
