I am currently making a robot with raspberry pi. Things are going well. But I got two problems recently... The bot has an AI that takes photos and recognizes objects, it also has a robotic arm. I tested these features outside the Pi and they are working. I used the AI in my PC and controlled the arm with an arduino. But in the rasp I am getting these problems:
1- I am trying to connect my Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W to a USB Webcam. I tried to use the fswebcam pack to control the webcam, but it doesn't have the pallet that my webcam has. YU12. What can I do instead?
2- My python code is returning GPIO Busy error even with the system rebooted. What could be making it happen? How can I solve this?
Can someone help me solve these problems?
k9t33n
please don't cross post
k9t33n
and the first one, how are you having a usb webcam in a pi zero?
k9t33n
and the 2nd one, after the pi booted?
k9t33n
interesting, is nothing other than the script open?
k9t33n
It's okay
k9t33n
try libcamera-hello -t -0
k9t33n
your not using ssh for this are you?
k9t33n
if you need it just use vnc
k9t33n
do you need to set up vnc?
k9t33n
it's like SSH but with ui
gabz42
I can switch the system, I think
gabz42
I was using the lighter one for performance
k9t33n
you don't have to switch the system
k9t33n
just install and enable it
k9t33n
yeah it's fine, wait let me find the install command
k9t33n
I don't actually know it so ask around
k9t33n
but I have to go for now
k9t33n
so bye bye
k9t33n
ok so Ive got news
k9t33n
to use vnc you can't use lite
k9t33n
do you have a spare monitor?
k9t33n
and sorry it's been a while btw
oops.se
Is the goal to see the pictures?
k9t33n
I just want to use libcamera-hello to see if the camera works
k9t33n
and ofc you can't use libcamera without a display of some sort because you can't see the result
oops.se
No output to file?
oops.se
-o <filename>
oops.se
And do you have a windows or Linux desktop that you ssh to the Raspberry Pi with the camera?
oops.se
Then you can either share the pictures lib with samba or mount it with sshfs
gabz42
But guys, I got a serious problem
gabz42
The header wasn't properly welded. So a friend tried to weld jumpers directly on the Raspberry
gabz42
I got the rasp with wired welded
gabz42
I Putted everything on the protoboard
gabz42
And turn the Raspberry on
gabz42
The cable just burnt
gabz42
Smelt
gabz42
Sorry, English isn't my first language
gabz42
But the point is
gabz42
The Raspberry isn't turning on
gabz42
And the cable I Putted on it just burned itself
k9t33n
i will help later, right now im busy sorry
k9t33n
pi 4 right?
k9t33n
ok what pins did he try to solder?
gabz42
He was guiding himself with this image
k9t33n
yeah this is probably dead
k9t33n
dont try and power it anymore
k9t33n
try and desolder it but chances are your not getting this back
