hi im looking for a portable psu/ups that will work with a new pi 5 (5.1v at 3A). needs to be small as it will be put on a robot. i was hoping for charge through power.
and if you wanted more battery life these would also work https://thepihut.com/products/2000mah-3-7v-lipo-battery although I can't figure out the battery life right now as im a bit new to batteries and it doesn't include the units I know about, but later someone else will probably come online to figure that out for you, I'm just here for ideas ig

hmm, i might use one of those battteries actually

you can't use one, it doesn't supply enough power. you could use two of the smaller batteries if you like
k9t33n
you might have to find a regulator tho

I have one UPS board with two Batteries and 72Whr in Total
techdaniel
It’s a red board called Rpi UPS 3.0 or something
techdaniel
And you pay for the board and one 37whr battery about 40 Euros
bigbainc
are you talking about pijuice?
bigbainc
i have a pijuice board but im using the battery that's supplied
bigbainc

something like this looks really good for running a pi on a battery. 10W/2A output on the 5V.. built in charger/BMS that'll charge, prevent overcharge/discharge.
You may want to find a way to measure voltage on the gpio pins and have the pi report the battery percentage based off of it. I'm sure there's a guide/software for that somewhere.
