What battery/powerbank do you recommend that is portable for mini projects.
k9t33n
never tried them, simply because I've never needed an actual battery before but it would be my first choice and whenever someone asks it's what I always recommend
oops.se
It depends largely on the Raspberry Pi model! As the different model has very large differences in power consumptions, a Raspberry Pi Pico can be used with any power bank to Raspberry Pi 5 that from AFAIK there is NO power bank that meet the specification.
And the other factor is time, how long time do you expect it to operate ?
k9t33n
yes exactly, uhm I do have one question tho these are 3.7v if you have two of them in parallel won't it produce 7.4 v?
oops.se
In parallel = 3,7v / 2x 2000mAh
In series = 2 x 3,7v / 2000mAh
k9t33n
ah ok
k9t33n
well yeah do that then
k9t33n
and if you have the pi 4 that would last 3 hours and 42 minutes
oops.se
That is an incorrect assumption!
k9t33n
I mean it's an estimate
k9t33n
also I must mention that's the pi 4 idle
oops.se
That was my point, you can NEVER give hard figures for a system that has a variable load!
k9t33n
yeah I should have said that
k9t33n
idle is the absolute lowest so that is the absolute best scenario of an estimate. I just use that because no one online tells you how much it consumes under a medium load, and that's for a good reason, like oopse said you can't give good figures for that sort of stuff so I just had to use what I've got
