That doesn't help as it has no information about the PCB. Gerber files or the original EDA files is the one that can reveal any issues with modifying the PCB.
misterjthe5
too big
misterjthe5
barely fits
misterjthe5
i need to shave
misterjthe5
justtttt abit..
k9t33n
I mean barely means it does but okay
misterjthe5
oh it dosnt fit at all
misterjthe5
bc its too perfect
misterjthe5
i need to shave it off abit.
k9t33n
can you shave just the slight outline though?
misterjthe5
yes
k9t33n
like before any of the actual wiring. then your fine
misterjthe5
i understand. so ill be able to those extra parts on the side
misterjthe5
that will help me significantly
misterjthe5
and if i wont be able to fit it in ill just shave off the sides of my shell
k9t33n
trim it down all the way around without coming across any copper (also make sure it's not multilayered so theirs not copper you cant see) then it's a guaranteed way to make it fit
misterjthe5
that i intend to put the screen in
k9t33n
exactly
misterjthe5
lovely
misterjthe5
thanks
k9t33n
glad to help
k9t33n
unless <@796000224690307072> has any other ideas?
k9t33n
things that I haven't thought about?
k9t33n
nvm he's going to sleep
misterjthe5
also
misterjthe5
how should i shave off the sides
misterjthe5
should i use like a nail file?
misterjthe5
im also intending to shave off a plastic case
oops.se
I use sandpaper or a hacksaw with a 32TPI blade
k9t33n
sandpaper? also the brackets I said are quite important
oops.se
But think of it like this is a 50/50 % chance to succeed
k9t33n
you need to know it's not a multilayered pcb, your probs fine but just to make sure
k9t33n
what are you saying is the effect of failure? its broken or just won't fit?
oops.se
The brakets aroundd the LCD?
k9t33n
no the brackets in this
oops.se
There is a multi connector between the PCB and the LCD and if that gets misaligned you have a dud display. So DON'T touch the frame for the LCD
