I currenty try to make a project with a Raspberry Pi4 and a Couple of Esp32's. My goal is to host a Wifi network on the Raspi and have the Esp32's connect to it.
I got as far as creating the Hotspot and so on. I have it configured to be on the 2.4 gHz Band and WPA/ WPA2/ WPA3 Personal Security. My Esp32 is able to see the network, but cannot connect to it and I dont know why and how I should fix it. I am able to make a Hotspot over my Phone and run it that way but that is not really what I want.
I know this is not purely a Raspberry issue but I am really down I have tried everything. Even hosting a netwok over raspap but when i install raspap on the Raspberry i get another error Light DM doesnt start anymore.
I think if I get raspap to work then it could be possible to connect but I dont know how.
An Internet connection is not really necessary for my project.
I have a python flask server and a frontend both running on the pi I just need to configure the Hotspot in a way so that I will be able to connect an ESP32 to it. That means 2,4 GHz and WPA 1 or WPA2 encryption.
Using the network manager didn't cut it. Since I don't have enough configuration options. I think maybe RaspAp could do the trick but I can't get it to run.

That is not a supported OS.
mobinator_exe
Ahh okay

And I asked about the OS and you answered without details.
mobinator_exe
I'm sorry I don't know many details I gave you as much as I know
mobinator_exe
Is there an OS with a GUI that is supported by RaspAp?
oops.se
It was I asked for the car model and you answered "Its a car". The "Raspberry Pi OS Desktop (64 Bit)" is the just a car, it says Bookworm or Buster after it and thats what is interesting

Follow your own URL and click on supported OS

Is there a Possibility to configure the Hotspot in a way that supports a GUI? since I need it for the frontend of the project.

You can also use the terminal with the desktop OS.
